Tower Poppies and Combat Stress

20 August 2014

As part of the company's ongoing commitment to charitable causes, a team of Leonardo volunteers made and planted ceramic poppies at the Tower of London during August 2014, in aid of the UK apprentices' chosen charity, Combat Stress.

Their involvement formed part of the Tower Poppies art installation 'Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red', which marked 100 years since the first full day of Britain's involvement in the First World War. In total, 888,246 ceramic poppies eventually filled the Tower's famous moat, with the final flower being planted on Armistice Day on 11 November.
