Adapting to the new normal – Managing Cyber Risks to the Utilities Sector beyond Covid-19

Leonardo hosted a free to attend webinar on 11 June 2020 entitled 'Adapting to the new normal – managing cyber risks to the Utilities Sector beyond COVID-19'.

Watch the video presentation

In recent years, the trend of connecting previously segregated operational networks into the corporate IT systems of a utilities organisation has impacted on the cyber security posture of the overall estate.  But the rapid technical and procedural changes brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, such as working from home, has led to a shift in the culture and expectations of the operational workforce.

  • Do you fully understand the risks that rapid, in some cases uncontrolled, changes to systems and processes have made?
  • How can you ensure that the cultural and technical shifts that have improved delivery capability do not result in unacceptable security risks?

This webinar focused on:

  1. How organisations can understand the root cause of changes in security culture which present cyber risks, and how positive changes can be driven.
  2. How organisations can understand the risks associated with recent rapid changes in technology and behaviours;
  3. Possible approaches to risk management, security architecture and cyber resilience.
