Network Groups

At Leonardo, our network groups are the place for like-minded people and their allies to come together, help shape engagement and lead associated educational initiatives with all our people to deliver an inclusive and consistent experience for everyone in the UK.

An inclusive organisation is one that enables the mix of diverse perspectives to work – by teaming and leading inclusively – to achieve better results and create an environment where everyone can be the best they can be.

As part of our commitment to diversity and inclusion, Leonardo is a member of Inclusive Employers, which helps us consolidate and continue to evolve our work in this area, sharing ideas and best practices with a range of fellow members across many different sectors.

We have our network groups because we know everyone is different and this difference matters. Our challenge is to help our people understand this and develop the ability to look within, creating a better working world. Our networks are an integral part of our inclusion programme and are invaluable in helping us bring this to life through supporting our education and awareness work through blogs, articles and face-to-face activity across our UK sites.

Equalise is Leonardo’s network group run by those who strive for gender equality within the workforce, in terms of both career development and opportunities. The network holds regular meetings to provide advice and promote education and awareness of LGBTQ+ issues in the workplace, and works on broader inclusion objectives with the other Leonardo employee networks. Pride’s ultimate aim is to ensure that no one in Leonardo feels the need to hide who they are in order to fit in, regardless of their gender or sexual identity.

Caring in a Crisis and the Life Savers that Make a Difference

Senior HR Adviser and Chair of Leonardo’s Carers Network, Anne McCluskey, marks Carers’ Week 2020 by reflecting on a personal period of crisis nearly 30 years ago, and draws strength from the advances in carers’ support that has evolved during the intervening years.

Pride in Lockdown

As with thousands of other events around the world, Pride Month 2020 will be virtual as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic. But that won’t stop Leonardo’s own Pride Network celebrating the month through a range of activities.
